What is a Digital Garden?
Digital gardens are personal websites that blend blogs and notebooks, allowing people to share their ideas and knowledge with the world while naturally cultivating and evolving those ideas. My approach leans more toward the blog side, but without the pressure of constant publishing or anything like that.
Here, I’ll be sharing my personal’s and my company’s projects, creating programming-related content (both random and technical), sharing my thoughts about life, and talking about games and game development.
Just out of curiosity, the website’s color scheme is a purplish blend of Commodore 64 and Dracula.
About Me

My name is Vinicius Rezende, but people call me Rezende. When I was a child, I spent countless hours playing titles such as Age of Mythology, Shadow of Rome, God of War, Fallout 3, Skyrim, and many others. After a few years pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Archaeology, I decided to change direction and begin a new journey in the programming world. Time passed, and now I’m a game developer.
Primarily working as an indie game developer, I aim to be a generalist; however, I consider programming as my main specialty. I graduated in Information Systems in 2024 with a bachelor’s degree and was honored with the Saturnino de Brito Medal, awarded to the top student in the class.
I have been working in the IT industry since 2021. I started as a Full Stack Developer and currently work as a Game Programmer. I am familiar with multiple technology stacks and have no trouble learning new ones. I have a solid understanding of data structures, design patterns, and programming paradigms, and I am proficient in some programming languages and I am also currently learning a few (*):
- C#;
- JavaScript;
- TypeScript;
- Lua;
- SQL;
- HTML;
- CSS;
- HLSL*;
- OCaml*.
I’ve used other languages professionally, such as C++, in specific contexts. As a game developer, I have worked with several frameworks and game engines, including Unity, Unreal, Meta Horizon Worlds, Roblox Studio, Phaser, and MonoGame. I have also used various industry-standard libraries and plugins, such as FMOD and Odin Inspector, and have worked on ports for mobile, PlayStation, and Xbox.
About Wise Shepherd Games
A one-person “team” decided to start creating games under the name Wise Shepherd Games. Exploring different ideas, mixing genres, and experimenting with new mechanics.
At Wise Shepherd Games, we share a deep passion for unique, fantastical, and complex worlds. Our goal is to create a new universe to explore through different experiences.
The name Wise Shepherd is a tribute to my beloved father. Among his friends, he was known as their “shepherd,” a testament to his trustworthiness, knowledge, and wisdom. We are shaped by influences from many sources, and games, in particular, have helped shape who I am.
Wise Shepherd Games is about immersing ourselves in other worlds and thinking deeply about how those worlds work and how we can relate them to the real world.
